Dr. Saamdu Chetri / GNH Centre

Dr. Saamdu Chetri carries 18 years of experience in the field of socio-economic development in Bhutan. He has drafted over 60 reports, 3 annual programmes, and has been a consultant for organizations like UNDP, UNCDF, and Helvetas. His fields of expertise span rural development, microfinance, teaching, research, project management and administration. In 2012 Dr. Chetri was appointed by the Prime Minister of Bhutan to develop, build and institute a Centre for Gross National Happiness in Central Bhutan. Dr. Chetri has several publications to his credit and has been featured in multiple radio, television and magazine interviews across the world. He has travelled to many countries sharing the seeds of Gross National Happiness, the development paradigm of Bhutan.
